Why has God not answered my Prayers

God is not a prayer storing God, He is a prayer answering God. But you must have been wondering, why has God refused to answer my prayers? why does it seem as if God is deaf to my plea?
I obey his commandments, I pay my tithes, I go to church etc someone might say. But I want you to know today, that God is aware of all you’re going through and he is not wicked not to have given you what you request for.

God answers prayers in three ways;

  • He says yes and gives it to you
  • He says no and gives you something else
  • He says wait and gives you something better at a better timing

So you have to get this understanding that *God actually answered your prayers, it’s just that it wasn’t based on how or what you were expecting the answer to be*

A Lot of people expect the “yes” answer from God, only then will they agree that God answered them. When its a “no” or a “wait” people consider it as no response from God. But you need to have this understanding also that while God’s answer is no or wait you have to be patient and wait on him. He knows why he isn’t giving you your request at the time you asked.

There is a waiting room for everyone expecting answers from God, and what you do while in the waiting room matters.

Do not complain or change your mind to go back from serving the Lord, because your answer is already on its way.

Let’s take for instance the reception in an organization, every visitor waits in the reception (waiting room) till when the receptionist tells them to go in to see whom they request to meet. No matter the number of people in that reception, everyone will be attended to but the time of answer differs.

The same is applicable with you as a Christian waiting on God in “the waiting room” expecting Him to answer your prayers.
God’s ways are not our ways, so if he gives you a particular answer just follow patiently. Isaiah 55:9

Let’s consider the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1, she had trusted God for the fruit of the womb, then God sent her answer through His servant Eli, but she had to wait. The answer was not immediate.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says there is time for everything…
Something catching was said of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1:20 KJV
Wherefore it came to pass, *when the time was come* about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying , Because I have asked him of the Lord .
Key word> when the time was come.
If it wasn’t time for Samuel to be born, Hannah would have to wait. But does that mean God has not heard and answered her prayers? No!!!

Also Sarah had a similar experience
Genesis 21:2 KJV
For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, *at the set time* of which God had spoken to him.
Key word> At the set time.

So, you need to understand the law of timing, the principle of waiting.
Indeed the waiting room is not exactly easy!!! You just have to overcome your emotions and look to Jesus. He has the answers with him.
While waiting, men may mock you but your testimony will surprise them
