Isaiah 8:18 KJV
Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
Our God has been the miracle worker since ages past and He is still the miracle worker. No one can be compared with him, his sovereignty is seen and known all over the world.
Exodus 15:11 KJV
Who is like unto thee, O Lord , among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?
A sign is an event, pattern that conveys a meaning or shows that an event is taking place.
A wonder is a miraculous deed or event that cause surprise or admiration; a thing that makes people to come and see.
God is the giver of signs and wonders(Isaiah 7:14) and as he was with the Jews in the old testament, he will also be with us now and forever because he does not change. No one was born by mistake (Jeremiah 1:5) God chose the family each child will be born to, no one was given to a family by mistake. As children of God we are for sign and wonder to our generation (Isaiah 8:18)
There is a long list of signs and wonders recorded in the old testament beginning from the time Sarah gave birth to Isaac in her old age (Genesis 21:1-4); Moses parting of the Red sea with a rod (Exodus 14:21-31); Joshua commanding the Sun to stand still until the people had avenged themselves (Joshua 10:12-14) even up till the new testament, here Jesus performed a lot of miracles and wonders before dying for our sins on the cross of Calvary.
He changed water into wine (John 2:1-11); walked on the water (Matthew 14:22-33); fed five thousand people (Matthew 14:15-21); Lazarus he woke from the dead (John 11:); to Jesus’ disciples, who also performed many miracles.
As children of God, we must believe in God, his miracles, sign and wonders and stand firm in faith. Faith makes us believe that with God, all things are possible. Elijah withheld rain for over three years, we can also do that. When we are filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, we will be able to cast out demons using God’s Word and they will obey (Psalm 18:44).
God has no limit, he cannot be crippled by any circumstance, so irrespective of your situation rejoice in the Lord because God created us with a divine nature that works to overcome any situations. Through the help of the holy spirit in us, God can perform signs and wonders that will give us testimonies and God will be glorified in the end.
For as many who are yet to surrender their lives to Christ, know that it is not negotiable, you have to do so now because tomorrow might be too late. And those who have already done so, ensure that you remain connected to Jesus who is highly exalted by God and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11)
Pray this: in the name of Jesus, I repent of my sins, come to my heart and be my Lord and savior. Amen
PRAYER
🙏 O Lord, arise destroy every sign of the devil that has become an emblem in my life, in the name of Jesus.
🙏 Jesus Christ, “Miracle Worker” locate me today, with Your signs and wonders, in the name of Jesus.
🙏 Like the rising of the sun, O God of wonders, arise in my life, in Jesus’ mighty name.
🙏 O God arise, perform wonder in my life and family’s finances, so that we can be a blessing to others, in Jesus’ name.
🙏 Lord Jesus, I thank You for answered prayers.
