TOPIC: THE JOURNEY FROM POVERTY TO PROSPERITY
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 8: 9. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter. God desires you to prosper! However, your prosperity is a journey, today we shall briefly examine how to begin the journey.
From our anchor scripture we discover that your journey out of poverty to prosperity begins with knowledge! For the Bible said;
2 Corinthians 8: 9. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
Observe the clause “for ye know,…” In order words you are supposed to know. It is what you know that puts you over. And what you know affects your decision and actions in life! Your decisions today are products of your previous knowledge.
Knowledge is what Jesus referred to as key (Luke 11:52). And we understand that when you have the key to any door, your access is guaranteed!
So also when you have a working knowledge of prosperity you are on your way to prosper. Your journey into prosperity begins with knowledge!
What knowledge should you have?
1. The knowledge of your roots
2. The knowledge of the covenant that governs prosperity
3. The laws that govern prosperity
4. The demands of prosperity
We shall look at each in turn. Now let’s begin with the knowledge of your root. Beloved, understanding of your roots is so important that it imparts into you the consciousness of never having anything to do with poverty for life.
The following are knowledge of your prosperity roots:
A. Redemptive Root: We must understand that by redemption, we have been transferred into the class of God. We are now members of God’s family. In this family we are made kings:
Revelation 5: 10. And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
By virtue of us being made kings and priests, we are empowered to reign on earth. We know kings are the custodians of riches of secret places(Isa.45:3)!
We know the wealth of any nation are in the hands of kings, so we are made kings to be in charge of God’s resources on earth.
Beloved, the child of a baker doesn’t beg for bread, he can walk straight into the bakery and get bread at will! So, get rid of beggarly mentality because your Father is the owner of the universe:
Psalm 24: 1. The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
B. Your Prophetic Root: Please understand that your prosperity was prophesied in the book of Micah:
Micah 4: 1. But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
The house of the Lord here is the church of Jesus Christ in prophecy. It is the redeemed souls that are the church(2Cor.6:16).
Therefore, you are expected to be at the top in prosperity in this last day! This is the day the church must take center stage through prosperity.
C. Your covenant root: When God called Abraham, the covenant He had was to bless Him and make Him a blessing;
Genesis 12: 3. And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
And by redemption, we have been brought into the same covenant with Abraham:
Galatians 3: 29. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Beloved, your journey into prosperity begins the day you access the knowledge that makes for prosperity.
Remember this : Heaven is real and hell is real. Eternity is ahead of every man! Make plans for it.
Prayer points:
– Father thank you for your word to me today.
– Lord, I receive grace to have the knowledge of my root in Jesus name.
Prophetic Declaration;
– I declare fresh baptism of the knowledge of your redemptive right in Christ in the name of Jesus.
– Every limitations on your way to prosperity gives way now in the name of Jesus
