What is the meaning of eni to ba do ju ko mi a ba baba mi nile? by Victoria Orenze

Okay, so Victoria Orenze did a great Job in the song “I GET backing” and she did a little mix of the Yoruba language together with English in that song and of course, it was a masterpiece.

But there are many people out there who doesn’t know or understand Yoruba language, who might love the song, but for clarity sake, they will need to know the meaning of what they are singing and that is what i will be doing in this article.

Eni to ba do ju ko mi [whoever confronts me]A ba baba mi Nile [Will meet my father at home]Eni to ba ro iku kan mi [Whoever wish me dead]A ba baba mi lejo [will have my father to contend with]I get backing ohI no dey walk alone
Eni to ba do ju ko mi [Whoever confronts/attack me]A ba baba mi Nile [Will meet my father at home]Eni to ba ro iku kan mi [whoever wish me dead]A ba baba mi lejo [Will have my father to contend with]I get backing ohI no dey walk alone
I walk with God the FatherWalk with God the SonI walk with God the SpiritThree of them joinI get backing ohI no dey walk alone
I walk with God the FatherWalk with God the SonI walk with host of angelsAll of them joinI get backing ohI no dey walk alone.
The song is meant to show the almightiness and sovereignty of God as a refuse and strength for his people, just like the bible says, those that out their trust in God shall be like mount Zion that cannot be move but that abides forever; the song encourages believers to look unto God as the ultimate source of their strength and confidence, even in the face of challenges, they should not be afraid of the enemy and their works, as the Lord of Host is equal to the task.
You can download the song here, share with others and bless them with this beautiful sound of heaven.
