HINDRANCES TO PROOF PRODUCING POWER By: Dr. Paul Enenche

1. The absence/disappearance of fervency (Rom. 12:11; Amos 6:1; 2Sam. 11:1; Matt. 26:58,69-70)

This refers to Premature Contentment Syndrome (PCS)and Premature Success Syndrome (PSS)

i. When David decided to completely delegate what he used to do, his crash started (2Sam. 11:1)

ii. When Peter decided to follow the Master from afar off, instead of up close like before, he started to deny Him (Matt. 26:58,69-70)

COUNSEL:

a. Always remember that whatever brought you to where you are is needed to keep you there

The way in is the way forward

Your habit affects your habitat; your routine affects your results

b. Determine to maintain an unbroken spiritual power habit/schedule/discipline

c. Schedule periodic spiritual overhauling sessions

2. The absence of humility (Isa. 14:12-15; Ezek. 28:12-14-15,17; Dan. 4:30-34,37; Acts 12:22-23; 1Cor. 15:9-10; Gal. 2:20; Eph. 3:7-8)

Where humility expires, authority expires

i. When lucifer, lost humility, he lost both power and place (Isa. 14:12-15; Ezek. 28:12-14-15,17)

ii. By pride, Nebuchadnezzar lost his place and lost his sanity (Dan. 4:30-34,37)

iii. By pride, Herod lost his place, he lost power and he lost his life (Acts 12:22-23)

COUNSEL:

a1. Always remember where God brought you from

You can forfeit your destiny if you ever forget your history

b. Avoid the company of praise singers and flatterers

c. Always remember that there is nothing you are or have that was not given to you by God (1Cor. 4:7)

d. Determine to stay close to God

The revelation of God’s Almightiness reveals to man His nothingness

Closeness to God equals distance from pride

3. The presence of loquacity (Josh. 6:10; Judg. 16:16; 2Kings 4:29-30; Luke 10:1,4,17; Prov. 10:19)

Talkativeness equals power leakage

COUNSEL:

a. Completely avoid the wrong use of the tongue

Lying, slander, gossip, cursing are all wrong uses of the tongue

Anybody who invited you to talk against another has invited you to leak power

b. Spare your words (Prov. 17:27)

Speak only when necessary

c. Respect seasons of spiritual exercise and minimize talk in such seasons

4. The presence of iniquity (Zech. 3:1-3; Judg. 16:16-20; 2Sam. 21:15)

People don’t fall into sin necessarily because they are bad people

Unbelievers look for sin but sin looks for believers

COUNSEL:

a. Rely heavily on the grace of God (Titus 2:11-12)

The more you rely on grace, the more you live righteously

b. Refuse to be overconfident (1Cor. 10:12; Gal. 6:1)

c. Engage in spiritual warfare if you notice a spell

PRAYERS:

Father, help me to maintain fire and passion for You; let my passion never die in Jesus’ Name

Father, I receive total deliverance from the spirit of pride, arrogance and haughtiness. Help me Lord in Jesus’ Name

Father, all of You and none of me; may I decrease that You may increase in my life in Jesus’ Name

Father, I receive grace and total deliverance from the spirit of talkativeness; give me power to exercise control over my tongue. I receive power now, in Jesus’ Name.

Father, cleanse me from iniquity that will cause power leakage in my life

Father, today, I receive cleansing by Your power. Every trace of wrong, every character and lifestyle with the tendency of leakage of power, and ending me in hell, I ask for mercy, in Jesus’ Name

Father, today, every negative family pattern that has the tendency to affect my life, I reject it! I break the yoke and break the spell NOW!
