TOPIC : WISDOM FOR CELEBRATION
SCRIPTURE :Luke 2: 11. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Today is boxing day! Meaning a day set aside to open all the boxes of gifts recived during Christmas.
It is a privilege to announce again that the Saviour of the world is born! This is the reason for the season. While the celebration continue until new year, the Holy Spirit laid it in my heart to share with us few wisdom tips for festive season.
What are the wisdom tips?
1. The wisdom of starting small and celebrating at your level: The Saviour of the world began from a manger!
Luke 2: 12. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
This teaches us the wisdom of starting small! Starting small does not mean remaining small. It is foolishness therefore to attempt to start big rather than grow big.
Every tree begins as a seed and gradually grow into becoming a big tree. Things that will last grow up gradually, therefore avoid the temptations of overnight success and overnight riches.
2. It is wisdom not to borrow to celebrate Christmas and New year. Rather be contented with what you have. Life is in phases and men are in sizes, Leave your size per time. The earthly parents of Jesus could not afford a lamb according to (Lev.12:8) so they came with a turtledove for the presentation/dedication of the baby Jesus.
Luke 2: 24. And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.
I believe pigeon is the least bird, that was their level then. So if your level can not afford turkey or chicken go for fish. If you can not afford to buy new clothes use the old ones.
I know most parents are under pressure to buy new clothes for their children!
There is no rule that bind you on that if you can not afford new clothes let them manage the old ones instead of going into debt. For your information, school fees are waiting after the celebration holiday.
Mothers, please understand that Christmas is not a reason to quarrel with your husband because he cannot buy you new clothes and shoes. It is a season of love not quarreling and fighting. Don’t borrow to travel home just to go and show up that you have arrived.
3. The wisdom of saying no to defilement: Don’t defiles your self in the name of Christmas.
Most people have travel to the village now as a Christian often return back as an unbelievers. Why should you get involved into drinking alcohol because you got it free of charge?
Why should you return to the masquerade you left sometimes ago in the name of Christmas. You return to your old time boyfriends in the name of Christmas. Don’t make Jesus weep for you! All manner of atrocities are going on now in the name of Christmas and you child of God you are expected to show others examples.
2 Peter 2: 22. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again ; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
Beloved singles daughter of Zion, don’t market your body in exchange of the immediate needs in the name of Christmas. This explain why many abortions follow up in January /February!
Even though is a good thing to look nice but not at the expense of your soul. If you are already planning whom to spend the night with that is not your husband, God say don’t try it.
In conclusion, moderation is the key in celebrating Christmas and the LORD of Christmas will bless us all.
Remember this : Heaven is real and hell is real! Where will you spend eternity? Give your heart to Jesus today.

– Father thank you for your word to me today,
– Father, I receive wisdom to celebrate Christmas with moderation in Jesus name.

– I prophesy grace for moderation in feasting and all you do this season.
-You will not enter a wrong car/veihcle in Jesus name
-Your bones shall not break, your blood shall not spill.
