Empowered to live a godly life by Redemption – 2 Cor. 5:17
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
- By redemption, we are called to live the overcomers’ life – 1 Jhn 5: 4/ Act. 20:32
1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Acts 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
- We cannot fall into temptation without our cooperation –Jam. 1:13-15/ 1 Cor. 10: 13
James 1:13-15 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Sanctified by the Power of the Word – Jhn 17:17
John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
- Taking daily spiritual shower in the word for our cleansing – Eph. 5:26/ Pro. 8:34-35
Ephesians 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Proverbs 8:34-35 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. 8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
- God’s word cleanses and sanctifies – Jhn 15:3/ Psa. 119:9/11
John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Psalms 119:9/11 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Sanctified by the Power of the Blood – Zch. 9:11-12
Zechariah 9:11-12 As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water. 9:12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;
- We can overcome the man of sin and his demons by the Blood of the Lamb – 2 Thes. 2:3/ Rev. 12:11
2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
- We can purge our conscience from dead works by the power of the Blood – Heb. 9:14/ Jhn. 6:53-55
Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
John 6:53-55 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

Sanctified by the Spirit – Isa. 59:19
Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
- We are called to mortify the deeds of the flesh through the power of the Spirit – Rom. 8:13/ Mal. 3:1-5
Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Malachi 3:1-5 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the LORD, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. 3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness. 3:4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years. 3:5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
- We cannot be sanctified by power or by might, but by the Spirit of God – Zch. 4:1-6/ 1 Cor. 6:11
Zechariah 4:1-6 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep, 4:2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof: 4:3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. 4:4 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord? 4:5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Jesus is Lord!
