TOPIC: VARIOUS KINDS OF SEEDS (PART 2)

Scripture: Proverbs 3: 9. Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter!

In continuation of our series on various kinds of seeds, we must understand that our destiny on earth is at the mercy of our sowing, hence proper understanding of what to sow matters.

Our anchor scripture says, honour the Lord with your substance. One sure way of honouring the Lord is our seeds!

What are the various kinds of seeds?

1. Freewill/love offering
2. Kingdom Project offering
3. Charitable/welfare seeds(details yesterday)

4. First fruit (Gen.4:3): It is your first harvest, which could be your first income for the year or the additional income as a result of promotion!

How to give your firstfruit is stated in;


Ezekiel 44: 30. And the first of all the firstfruits of all things, and every oblation of all, of every sort of your oblations, shall be the priest’s: ye shall also give unto the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house.

From the above scripture, we see your firstfruit should be brought to your pastor/priest and he will release priestly blessing upon it.

Next time you are giving your first fruit ensure the priest releases the blessings upon it, don’t just throw it carelessly anywhere.

5. Prophet offerings(1Sam.9:3-13): It is an offering given to honour servants of God.

Any servant of God that labours over you both in prayer and in the word of God(1Tim.5:17) deserves your seed/offering.

But it is quite unfortunate that many of us don’t sow into the lives of our pastors. Your failing in this area is to deny yourself certain dimensions of God’s blessing because you the scripture cannot be broken:


Matthew 10: 42. And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Prophet offerings are also meant to appreciate the grace of one that teaches you the word of God:

Galatians 6: 6. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

From the scripture above, to communicate simply means sharing!
That means there should be a sharing between you and your teacher.

So when last did you share with your teacher/pastor/prophet?

The Shunamite woman provoked her blessing and terminated barrenness through her sacrificial seed to Elisha the servants of God (2Kg.4:8-17).

It has the following benefits:

A. It connects you to the blessing upon the man of God (Gen.27:1-4)
B. It restores and preserves your destiny(Hos. 12:13)
C. It connects you to the unction of the man of God you sow into his life
D. It brings what we call prophet’s rewards (Matt.10:41)

Beloved, if God places you under any of His servants, you must learn to believe him/her, otherwise your prosperity is not in view! According to the Bible, you don’t only believe in God, you also believe men that are sent into your life because God will work through men to help your life:

2 Chronicles 20: 20. And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.


Remember this: Heaven is real and hell is real! Jesus loves you dearly, surrender your life to Him today.

Prayer points;
– Father thank you for your word to me today.
– Lord I receive grace to believe your servants and honour them in Jesus name.

Prophetic Declaration;
– I declare your turn to be celebrated has come.
– You will not be put to shame in your lifetime in the name of Jesus.
