TOPIC: THE REASON WHY FAVOUR IS SO IMPORTANT
Scripture: 2 Samuel 9: 1. And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?
Beloved, we have continued to stress the importance of favour to the life of every believer. And today, we intend to raise one more reason.
Why is favour important to every believer?
1. It is the technology of time redemption(Exo.3:21)
2. It is the cure to stagnation(Gen.37;20-24)
3. It is secrets of sweat-less success(Esther 2:17)! Without favour success is not easily achieavable.
4. It is the magnetic field of pulling up the gift of men into your direction(2Sam.9:1).
Just as we have spiritual gifts, materials gifts so also we have the gift of men.
Ephesians 4: 8. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
That is, human beings can be given to you as a gift from God and that is made possible by favour.
What then is the implication of the gifts of men into your life?
1. The arrival of the gift of men signals an end of a season in your life.(2Sam.9:1-11). Mephibosheth was in Lodebar, the land of the forgotten when David showed up and said:
2 Samuel 9: 3. And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.
Beloved, when God is set to change your story, He will send you the gift of men. As soon as David showed up, an end came to the dry season of Mephibosheth. Your story has not changed because men ordained for your lifting are yet to show up. I pray today, that relevant men will show up for you in the name of Jesus.
2. The arrival of the gift of men means access to financial and materials resources. Our Lord Jesus Christ walked in so much favour such that at birth the first group of men that shows up came with gold which is the highest currency.(Matt.2:11).
Beloved, all the money you will ever need in your lifetime somebody is in possession of it.
Until you encounter that person you may never access the money. So favour draws these men into your life and you will need wisdom to keep them. Many of us have driven out our gift of men because we could not discern and lack of wisdom.
3. The arrival of men equals the arrival of endorsement. In the life of Joseph, he would have remained in prison for life if not for the Butler that recommended and endorsed him in the palace.
Daniel could work his way through several kings in Median and Persian empire because of endorsement. It was the mother of Belshalzzah that said:
Daniel 5: 12. Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.
Beloved, that your dream job could come through endorsement of the men God has brought you in contact with! That your desired marriage could come through endorsement of men that surround your life.
This is why who endorses you matter! So many people have been denied their opportunity to be lifted just because someone who should endorse them, said negatives things about them. I pray for you today may God place the right person to speak for you as the occasion demands in your life’s journey in the name of Jesus.
Beloved, the need for favour is worth contesting for in life because without favour destiny is grounded.
Remember this; Heaven is real and hell is real. The decision of spending eternity with God begins now.! Makes Jesus the Lord of your life today.

-That relevant person that will help you to change your story, may the favour of God bring that individual into your life this season in the name of Jesus.
