Introduction:
The end-time church is ordained a church of multitudes, but the gates of hell are all out to resist the explosive growth of the Church of Christ – 1 Pet. 5:8-9
(1Pe 5:8-9) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Eph. 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
- Thank God we have the shield of faith that has the capacity to quench all the fiery darts of the devil
Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Jam. 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
- However, faith must not be assumed; it must be consciously cultivated – Hab. 2:4 / Rom. 1:17

The Prayer of Faith is the Prayer That Works
Faith is engaging God’s capacity for delivery through the Altar of Prayer – Mat. 9:27-29
Mat 9:27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.
Mat 9:28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
Mat 9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
1 Thes. 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
- We can build our faith in the Word on any prayer subject before engaging the Prayer Altar
– Rom. 10:17
Rom. 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Eph. 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
- What we do not demand, God cannot deliver – Jam. 4:2
James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
Heb. 4:2. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

The Prayer of Faith is the Prayer That Works
- Faith is engaging God’s capacity for delivery through the Altar of Prayer – Matt. 21:22/Mk. 11:24
Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Mk. 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
- We can build our faith through the study of anointed books – Dan. 9:2/ 1 Tim. 4:13/15/ 2 Tim. 4:13
Dan 9:2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem
1Ti 4:13 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
1Ti 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
2Ti 4:13 The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments.
- It takes a call in prayer to qualify for divine intervention – Matt. 7:7-8/ Mat. 21:22
Mat 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Mat 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Mat. 17:20-21
Mar 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mar 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mat 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Mat 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
- We can provoke outbreak of revelation that builds faith through prayer and fasting – Isa. 58:8/10/ Jer. 33:6
Isa 58:8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
Isa 58:10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
- For example, Church growth answers to faith-filled travailing prayers – Isa. 66:7-8/ Act. 6:3-4/7
Isa 66:7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
Isa 66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
Act 6:3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
Act 6:4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
Act 6:7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Mar 10:46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
Mar 10:47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
Mar 10:48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
Mar 10:49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
Mar 10:50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
Mar 10:51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
Mar 10:52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
- We can access the deep things of God that builds faith through praying in the Spirit – Jude 20/ 1 Cor. 2:10
Jud 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
- God will only give us the heathens as we demand for them in Prayers – Psa. 2:8/ 2 Pet. 3:9
Psa 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Jas 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Jas 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
Jas 5:18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
- We can build our faith through consistency in fellowship – Psa. 73:17/ Psa. 27:4
Psa 73:17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
Psa 27:4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
- Every praying Church is a growing Church – Ezk. 36:37/ Isa. 66:7-8
Eze 36:37 Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.
Isa 66:7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
