TOPIC: THE KINGDOMS THAT GOVERN PROSPERITIES
Scripture: Luke 22: 29. And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;
Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! The moment you are born again, you have been translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of God(Colo.1:12-14)!
Invariably, there are two different kingdoms and either of them can be the source of man’s prosperity, wealth and abundance on earth. Today, we shall briefly, examine these two kingdoms.
The two kingdoms:
1. The kingdom of darkness; (Matt.4:8, Luke11:28,2Cor.4:4); It is simply a domain, where the influence of Satan is felt. Satan is the king here and every man who is not born again is directly under the control of this kingdom. It takes the salvation experience to be delivered from the influence of this kingdom.(Jn.3: 3).
Anyone in this world is directly under the influence of this kingdom!
Hence, his/her
ideology and ways of doing things is directly influenced by this kingdom.
Prospering in this kingdom is prospering outside God’s program!
This domain is also known as the Babylonian way of prosperity.
Everyone who is in the kingdom of darkness pays allegiance to Satan, the Babylonian king in order to prosper.
In the Babylonian system of prosperity, the commodity that will be exchanged
for your wealth and prosperity is your SOUL (Rev.18:13);
Revelation 18: 11. And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: 13. And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
In this kingdom, you must not prosper while your soul is prospering, it negates their principle.
You are permitted to prosper physically but your soul must not, and you will keep on rising depending on as much sacrifice as you are willing to offer to the devil. Your peace and rest is taken away from you.
There is tension of insecurity, fear of the unknown and continuous restlessness within your soul.
The desire to put people in pain, see people groan under the burden they can easily lift but refuse to help out because of their allegiance to the devil are few of the characteristics of this kingdom.
2. The kingdom of God(Lk22:29; Col.1:12-14): This is also called the kingdom of light or the kingdom of God’s dear son. It is a domain where the influence of God is felt. Every redeemed soul belongs to this kingdom because God can find influence within them:
Luke 17: 21. Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
In this new kingdom, there are rules that guide everything we do including our prosperity.
The guiding principle here is love! Love to see lives transformed, burdens lifted, stories changed and smiles on the faces of people is the order of the day.
This is the only kingdom that permits you to prosper while your soul prospers because our allegiance is to God. In this kingdom the Holy Spirit which is also the Spirit of wisdom is our supervisor and instructor giving us ideas, innovation etc to mould lives and destinies.
Beloved, I don’t know which of these kingdoms you belong to currently?
If you are still in the kingdom of darkness, the Babylonian system, you may be prospering but your soul is in bondage. And if you finally leave this world without Jesus, you will be eternally separated in hell.
Matthew 16: 26. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
But, you can change the narrative today! You can be free today by being born again!
Remember this: Heaven is real and hell is real! Where do you want to spend eternity?
Prayer points:
– Father thank you for your word to me today.
– Lord I receive grace never to mortgage my soul for earthly prosperity in the name of Jesus.
Prophetic Declaration:
– I declare your lifting has come! Every power holding down your lifting, loose their grip over you now in the name of Jesus.
– You are rescued from distraction that wants to take you to hell in the name of Jesus.
