THE GREATEST IGNORANCE
I believe ignorance is in levels, although, no ignorance is good but there is ignorance that destroys faster than others and what I want to do in this article is to reveal to you the greatest ignorance in life. Let’s read from the word of God. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children. (Hosea 4:6 AMP)
The greatest ignorance is the lack of knowledge of who God really is, what He can do in, with and through a man. This is the only ignorance that destroys lives and destinies.
Lack of formal education doesn’t destroy. There are other things that not having knowledge of them might not really destroy a person but would only make one miss out on some benefits or opportunities but lack of knowledge of God is, what He can do in, with and through you can destroy your life faster than poison can do because when you truly know God, His power and what His power can do in your life you would realize that poison can’t harm a believe taken without knowing (Mark 16:17-18). This is the only ignorance the devil is always trying to keep every believer in because he knows that a man who doesn’t have accurate knowledge of God, His power and what He can do in, with and through him will never discover who God had created him to be because you can’t know yourself if you don’t know God.
The knowledge, I mean the accurate and precise knowledge of God, His perfect will for man and His ways is the only thing that would make you discover who you were created to be and it is not possible to know Him if you don’t know His word, so, ignorant of the truth of God’s word is ignorance of who God really is and the result is the destruction of life and destiny. It would prevent the blessings of God from flowing into the life of a man and when the blessing of God is absent what is present is struggle, confusion, poverty and hard life.
Having formal education or vocational training can never substitute the accurate knowledge of God. You might have all the degrees in the world if you don’t have accurate knowledge of who God is and what He can do in your life, with your life and through you, you will never know who you really are and can’t be fulfilled in life. If you have not been taken this seriously I urge you to begin now to seek to know God, seek for accurate knowledge of Him and not the shallow knowledge. This is the beginning of a glorious life; it is the beginning of a life of continuous progress.
Apostle Paul was very educated in his time with many qualifications but he came to a point in his life when he realized that all his learning, education and qualification are nothing compare to the accurate knowledge of God. Prior to his conversion he had shallow knowledge of God and that knowledge only produced a persecutor of the church in him but when he realized that the knowledge of God is the only thing a man to live to seek he threw away all his qualifications and kept pressing harder to know God because he discovered that the more he knew God the more he knew himself and the greater impact he makes in the lives of people. Here is what he says in Philippians 3:2-14 KJV.
That is the only thing you need in life. If you are ignorant of every other thing, don’t be ignorant of God’s word, plan and purpose for your life. Stay blessed!
