Speaking in Salvation Ministries first service today, Sunday, 6th June, 2021,with the theme ‘Praise for Answered Prayers’, Pastor David Ibiyeomie shared an incident that happened long ago.
Papa said a then president of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), came after him for no just cause. He said at that time he was unpopular, the NUJ president had connection to both the presidency and the inspector general of police.
Arrangements were made to get him arrested by the SSS (now Dss: Department of State Services). Papa said he was advised by a member that was preview to the matter not to come to church, because the plan of the SSS was to arrest him in church.
Papa said he came to church after the advise, and combined prayer and praise and the matter became a bygone.
He said “any prayer without praise is a protest”.
