TOPIC: POWER TO PROSPER

Scripture: Deuteronomy 8: 18. But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Everything on earth answers to power. The fulfilment of destiny requires power, so also our prosperity. Today, we shall briefly examine the power to prosper.

Our anchor scripture refers to it as power to get wealth, meaning wealth does not just happen, there is power to engage that makes it happen.

Prosperity delivery comes on the platform of power! This power is supplied through our connection with the Holy Spirit:

Acts 1: 8. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Holy Spirit empowers us through the following:

1. The gospel:
Romans 1: 16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

The Holy Spirit empowers us to come into the class of God when we believe the gospel;

John 1: 12. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

He also empowers us as we continually hear the gospel again and again for our transformation thereby giving us a superior mind which is the mind of Christ (1Cor.2:16).

2. By exposing the knowledge of the truth to us:

John 8: 32. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

In this kingdom, we reign by light! So when you posses the working knowledge of prosperity you reign over poverty for ever.

Jesus said you shall know the truth!

What then is the truth?

The truth is two dimensions;

A. Jesus is the truth:
John 14: 6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

B. The word of God is truth:
John 17: 17. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Therefore, the knowledge of Jesus which is also the same as knowledge of God is the knowledge of the truth because;
John 1: 1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

3. Through faith: Faith is the substance that powered everything at creation:

Hebrews 11: 1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 3. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Faith is seeing things from God’s perspective. It is obeying God to prove that we believe in Him so as to commit God to perform it. And when you do whatever God tells you to do, God’s integrity is committed to confirm it.

Faith is also living by the word of God as a life style and behaving the word. And to gain understanding of the scriptures require the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit empowers us by opening up scriptures to us that provoke faith. He show us what we must do in the word to commit God to deliver His promise.

Beloved, the power to prosper is available in Christ, you may say “but there are so many persons who prosper without Christ?” Well, you can check it out yourself, such prosperity never last, it is what God gives that lasts forever:

Ecclesiastes 3: 14. I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

And it all begins by being born again! So you can begin the journey to your empowerment today by accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour.

Remember this : Heaven is real and hell is real. The decision of where to spend eternity begins now as eternity beyond this world is certain.

Prayer points:

– Father thank you for your word to me today.
– Lord, I receive power to prosper by the enablement of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus.

Prophetic Declaration;

– I prophesy the release of power to prosper in the name of Jesus.
– I declare restoration of all that the devil has stolen from you in the name of Jesus.
