POSSIBILITIES BEYOND IMAGINATION..
“Follow me, and I will make you…”, that’s how Jesus responded to Peter’s inadequacy.
Peter felt he was unqualified to catch fishes enough to sink a boat. But Jesus must have diagnosed the situation and concluded that the reason why Peter was limited in fishing was because he wasn’t following any master, so He told him to follow Him. By following Jesus, Peter advanced from catching fishes to catching men.
Lot should have suffered, because he had lost his parents before he clocked age 10. But he followed Abraham. He probably learnt Abraham’s business principles, and over time, he was commanding the same result as Abraham.
Like Peter, I know you probably have professional inadequacies, but all of that can change if you’d just find a mentor to follow. Mentors are like ladders, they help you advance to higher grounds. This has been one of my trade secrets; I may not have all the qualifications and accolades my mentors have, but by following them diligently, I’d command the same result.
Today, when people need my mentors to do things for them, they direct those people to me. I’ve also seen my mentees write amazing stuffs; I can confidently push jobs to many of them.
Let me conclude with this; ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR INADEQUACIES, BUT FOCUS ON YOUR POSSIBILITIES. POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS, EVEN FOR THE DISADVANTAGED. May God give us understanding!
