Pastor Isaac Oyedepo on UNDERSTANDING PATHWAYS TO SANCTIFICATION at Pre-Shiloh Encounter Service

CHRISTIANITY IS NOT BUILT ON PRODUCTS OF FAITH LIKE PROSPERITY, HEALING, MIRACLES, FAVOUR OR DELIVERANCE, IT IS BUILT ON SANCTIFICATION

THE ANCHOR OF OUR FAITH MUST NOT BE ON THE PRODUCTS OF FAITH BUT ON THE FOUNDATION OF THE FAITH

FOUNDATION OF THE FAITH IS SANCTIFICATION

FAITH THAT IS BUILT TO LAST IS BUILT ON THE FOUNDATION OF SANCTIFICATION

GOD’S MERCY IS NOT A REASON TO REMAIN IN OUR MESS

SANCTIFICATION IS A CHOICE, IT IS NOT A GIFT

IF YOU ARE NOT A BENEFICIARY OF THE HELP OF GOD, YOU ARE YET TO BE IN TROUBLE

Pastor Isaac Oyedepo on UNDERSTANDING PATHWAYS TO SANCTIFICATION at Pre-Shiloh Encounter Service || 6th November 2022

We know the prophetic focus of the month is that Sanctification secures destiny and eternity. In the name of Jesus, none of us will miss eternity with Christ.

It is important we understand that the faith that is built to last is built on the foundation of sanctification.

Psalms 11:3, 2 Timothy 2:19-20. Jude 1:3, Isaiah 45:8.

In the first service, God’s servant, the Apostle over this great commission made a statement that set me on fire.

He said “Christianity is not meant to be built on prosperity, Christianity is not built on healing, Christianity is not built on miracles, Christianity is not even built on favor, Christianity is not built on deliverance.

The Lord opened me up and I said what meaneth this?  And He said we must never mistake the products of faith for the foundations of the faith. All those things mentioned are the products of the faith and not the foundation of the faith.

Hear this and hear it well, prosperity is a product of the faith, healing is a product of the faith, miracles, signs and wonders are products of the faith, favor is products of the faith, deliverance products of the faith but the foundation of the faith is Sanctification.

Without sanctification, our faith has no foundation to rest upon. And I began to ask and wonder, what is the difference between the faith of our Fathers, the faith of their fathers’ fathers and our own new generation faith? It is a huge difference.

We have anchored our faith in this current age on the products of faith. Church Gist. So, people come to God because of what God can do and not because of who He is. In their own generation, they anchored their faith on who God is.

He is a holy God, He is a righteous God, He is a just God, even if He does not bless, He is still God. That is the difference. The anchor of our faith must not be on the products of faith but must be on the foundation of the faith. No wonder you hear Him makes statement like wherever you cannot take me to, may I never get there”, whatever you cannot give me, may I never have it.

There are many of us that have duplicated the prayer of I can never be sick but we are yet to duplicate that prayer Lord, whatever you cannot give me, may I not have it. The anchor of our faith, is it on the product of faith or is it on the foundation faith?

You find the difference of authority and audacity. There are things you cannot say like He says except you are standing right.

We all have authority but our mouth cannot speak the same thing because after 41 years, for nobody to come back and claim that a testimony was doctored, that a miracle was doctored, that a healing was doctored. Nobody can claim money was ever borrowed from them.

Let us wake up to this reality. Anchor your faith on the foundation of the faith and not on the products of the faith. In the name of Jesus Christ, the same grace that he carries, may that same grace for sanctification rest upon in the name of Jesus.

Up until recently, he may not know I am aware, people have given heavy gifts of vehicles that are not common, yet returned.

It is not every gift that is receivable. It is not every gift that is from God. Some gifts are traps of the devil. In the name of Jesus Christ, may none of us be trapped by the gifts of men. You see the Fathers of our father, people like Charles G. Finney, history records them as men that worked in blazing holiness. How do you enter a train and people begin to run out?  And they are exclaiming, you make me feel unclean.

Without a tract, without a flier, just entering a place and blazing holiness chasing devils out. It is a new day for us. There must be a change in our lives. In the days of the Hebrews revival, men like Duncan Campbell, when revival broke loose, it was not revival of healing, it was not revival of miracle, it was not revival of prosperity, it was revival of dogged holiness. People in the street were crying, begging for forgiveness.

History had it that prison houses became empty, police had nobody to chase anymore because everybody was working in that realm of holiness, in the name of Jesus, starting from today in this first Pre-Shiloh encounter service of the month of November, you and I will encounter the Holy God.

That was why God’s servant said in the first service, we must arise and wage war against spiritual slumber. Romans 11:8. May you and I be delivered from the spirit of slumber. 1 Corinthians 15:34, Ephesians 5:14.

There are four reasons why we must arise and wage war:

1. You cannot first arise without first awakening. There must be an awakening before you can arise. We cannot be asleep and wake people out of sleep. Church Gist. It is impossible for a man or a woman asleep to wake others out of sleep.

2. We cannot be asleep and drive safe on the highway.

3. We cannot be asleep and be safe in the wild park of this world. This world is a wild park, no wonder the scripture says that your enemy, your adversary move about like a roaring lion looking for him he may devour.

That is a picture of a wild park. Romans 12:21, 1 Peter 5:8.

4. We cannot be asleep and guarantee the safety of others around us. We cannot be asleep just like the driver who is asleep, carrying his entire family. How can you guarantee the safety of those around us?

Today in America, a child can wake up one morning and say they do not feel like a girl again and immediately, the government has put things in place that even parents cannot challenge it. A teenager saying, I do not want to be a girl, I just feel like a boy and they can have surgeries done to change how they look.

What a world we live in. Somebody was angry, one of those men who had converted from being a man to a woman.

A popular figure and they gave him in the latest Time Magazine, “the Man of the Year”, and he was angry that I am no longer a man but a woman. What a world we live in. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, because you and I are coming awake, the safety of our family is also guaranteed.

There are things now that your children cannot watch anymore. It was three years ago we cut cable in our house, nothing like that anymore.

It is not safe to leave your children with the cartoon you knew growing up because they are already altered, they are already doctored, they are already polluted. They are already telling them that you can be whoever you want to be.

No matter how your parent gave birth to you, you can change it based on your decision. What a world we live in. but in the name of Jesus, in this last days, your family, my family will be safe and secure.

Most of the crises that believer face is traceable to spiritual slumber and God’s servant; Bishop David Oyedepo shared very heavily on this yesterday and in the previous service today.

You look at David, spiritual slumber. When others went to war, he remained there. Look at Samson, spiritual slumber, seven times, yet he could not decode it was for his destruction. Look at Judas, he had the opportunity to turn, too late. Look at Solomon, marrying that number of wives and concubines, yet God was still having mercy.

God’s mercy is not a reason to remain in our mess. Therefore, in the name of Jesus before this service is over, everyone in any mess, we are coming out of it in the name of Jesus. It is time to turn like he said before it is too late. David turned. Samson turned too late. Judas turned late. Solomon turned too late. But you and I will turn early.

Sanctification is a choice, it is not a gift. He said, I put you before this day blessing and cursing, choose life.

What is the cost of ungodliness?

1. Ungodliness blocks access to help in time of trouble. Hezekiah was a man who entered or saw some troubles in his life but he gained access to God’s help. Isaiah 38:11-5. He turned his face to the wall. Some prayers you cannot pray except you are godly. He said Lord remember. If you are not godly, you will tell God to forget. But he said God remember how my life has been.

And the Bible says, the Lord heard him. Psalms 33:18-19.

Reading the scriptures reminded me of what my mother, Pastor Mrs Faith Oyedepo went through. God delivered her.

Hear this, if you are not a beneficiary of the help of God, you are yet to be in trouble. When trouble lands, you will know that God is the only help.

If you neglect the help of God, you are already in trouble. If you are yet to be a beneficiary of the help of God, you are not yet ready for trouble.

But if you stand and say I do not need God’s help, you are already in trouble. Church Gist. Look at how God brought her out gallantly. It was not just prayer that brought her out, it was her lifestyle.

The lifestyle of God’s servant; Bishop David Oyedepo that God saw. God does not only hear our prayer, God sees our lives. In the name of the Lord Jesus, may you and I live a life that is well pleasing to God.

Paul the Apostle said, it is by the help of God, I have continued till this day. So when we live ungodly lives, we block access to help in time of trouble

2. It blocks access to divine secrets. The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him and stars are made from secrets. Psalms 25:14. Anyone you see in the Kingdom or even in our contemporary world will never tell you all their secrets because if you know all they know, you will get to where they are.

But this is one thing, the fear of God. I love how Daniel, he refused to defile himself with the portion of the King’s meat. Look at how relevant he remained in Babel.
