Vicky umodu who is a Nigerian woman returned the sum of 14.9 million naira which is equivalent to 36000 dollars which she found in the sofa given to her for free on craigslist. The Nigerian woman who lives in San Bernardino, California had just moved into her new home in California and was checking craigslist for the chairs to buy before she found out that a family was giving out the furnitures which belonged to their late relative for free.
This she requested for and was given, but after it was delivered to her, while she was checking them out she then found the huge amount of money in one of the sofas.
Umodu said: “I just moved in, and I don’t have anything in my house. I was so excited, so we picked it up and brought it in. ‘I was just telling my son, “Come, come, come!” I was screaming, “This is money! I need to call the guy!”
She was able to reach out to the kind family that gave out the chairs to them and successfully returned their money to them. She said: God has been kind to me and my children. They’re all alive and well. I have three beautiful grandchildren, so what can I ever ask from God?’
After returning the money, she was rewarded with 900000 naira for her honesty
