Living in God’s abundance (Scriptures on abundance)

2 Kings 4:3-7 KJV
Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. [4] And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. [5] So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. [6] And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. [7] Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

We serve a God who has more than enough to give to his children, he created the whole universe and owns all that is therein.

So, it’s our covenant right to have sufficiency because the earth is the lord’s and the fullness thereof, so anything you ask, you’re sure he can give them to you. God has never run out of resources, even when it seemed like there is nothing, he miraculously supplies. Same thing happened when Jesus fed the five thousand with five loaves of bread and two fishes.

The God of abundance multiplied it, and made it even more than enough. Even at the wedding in cana of Galilee, when they ran out of wine, it was not an issue for God, he made wine from water and it was even better than the ones previously served.

This shows that God cannot be limited by any circumstance, as a child of God, you are also expected to live in abundance before your father is a God of abundance.

In your business, you should make more profit, never should it be mentioned that you lack because Jesus doesn’t lack.

He is the God that teaches us to profit (Isaiah 48:17) so it is our responsibility to learn of him and know what it takes to unlock the abundance possibility.

Take a look at the verse below,

Deuteronomy 28:12 KJV
The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

That means he has in excess for him to have said “he will open his good treasures” so we shouldn’t lack anything because he has all in abundance. He specialises in giving and supplying our needs that we should lack nothing; Jesus asked his disciples, when I sent you without purse, scrip, and shoes, lacked ye anything? And they said nothing (Luke 22:35). It costs the lord nothing because he has them all in excess. (Read also Isaiah 48:21)

How to live in God’s abundance

1. Be born again: being a child of God grants you more access to certain blessings, a father would normally cater for his own children before others.

2. Walk in the light of his word: discover scriptures that talks about abundance blessings of God and confess them. Walk in the consciousness of the word of God, believe what he says not what your circumstances say
3. Ask: Ask the lord for his blessings, he will not withhold them from you. Ephesians 3:20.

4. Give; be a blessing to others
God blesses us to be a blessing unto others, you are supposed to be a flowing river so that others around you can be blessed. A flowing river is usually surrounded by green plants because those plants are getting nourished from the river. When you are a blessing to others, God will increase his blessings upon your life for you to have more for yourself and for others to be blessed too.

Proverbs 11:24 KJV
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
