TOPIC: INTRODUCTION TO GOD’S DESIRE – YOUR PROSPERITY
Scripture: 3 John 1: 2. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Beloved, I welcome you to the month of August! It is a month of bew beginning! Today, we shall be introducing the theme of the month.
We understand from scriptures, that anywhere God goes prosperity goes. Hence, God with a man is equal the prosperity of that man as in the case of Joseph:
Genesis 39: 2. And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
We understand also that our God is the owner of the universe(Ps.50:10,11; Hag.2:8):
Psalm 24: 1. The earth is the LORD’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
And when man was redeemed, he automatically took both the family name and the family resources(Rom.8:17, Gal.3:29, Titus 3:7, James 2:5), so we are as wealthy as our heavenly Father is! From all indication, we should be as prosperous as our new family which is God’s family!
This is the gospel truth. Even God Himself wants us to be prosperous, this He said in His word:
3 John 1: 2. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Observe the clause, above all things- meaning above every other things, I want you to prosper and be in good health. In other words your prosperity matters! But your physical prosperity must be thesame as the prosperity of your soul- your spiritual prosperity!
Things to note about your prosperity:
1. Your prosperity is more evangelical than your voice. In other words, with your prosperity evidence men are ready to join you to serve God than remaining in poverty. Nobody wants to identify with a poor man but everybody is the friend of the rich man.
Proverbs 14: 20. The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.
Proverbs 19: 4. Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.
It is quite unfortunate, that the devil has hijacked this aspect of many lives by:
A. Taking God out of many lives that want to prosper by all means and promised them that they can prosper anyways after all, God wants you to prosper
B. Decieved people not to talk about prosperity at all because it can take them to hell.
Well, both ends are extremely dangerous. There is a balance, and that is God desires you to prosper. He wants you to have resources and not resources having you! He wants you to be able to represent the kingdom in any capacity.
Beloved, do you know that until you have economic freedom, you cannot reign in the world of men? It is an attempt to reign by all means that many have sold their souls to the devil. The devil is ever ready to give you financial empowerment but your soul must be exchanged for it. It is only when you understand the ways of the covenant that guides prosperity in any capacity that you can enjoy it and your soul still remains with you. This is why the Holy Spirit shall be showing us through the scripture the principles that determine wealth and abundance, so that you can become a representative of the kingdom.

Remember this: Heaven is real and hell is real! Anyone that gambles with his life on earth will have himself to blame in eternity.

– Father thank you for your word to me today.
– Lord open my eyes to see your word and plans for my prosperity in the name of Jesus.
Prophetic Declaration:
– I prophesy mercy and Grace to be your companion this month in the name of Jesus.
– Your life is excuse from calamity and disaster in the name of Jesus.
You will not be a victim of evil circumstances in the name of Jesus.
