GLOBAL HARVEST CHURCH
Global Harvest Church was inaugurated on the 30th of September 1995 by Pastors Victor and Jumoke Adeyemi in response to God’s call on them to plant Evangelistic Churches that are committed to helping all members fulfil their destinies through the discovery, release and maximization of their God-given potentials.
In February 1986, during a week of consecration in fasting and prayer, Pastor Victor Adeyemi saw a picture of a worldwide soul winning and church planting ministry. With a passion for souls birthed out of this experience, he committed himself to a life of ministry.
After obtaining a college diploma in law in 1989, he joined Rhema Chapel International Churches, Ilorin, Nigeria as a fulltime minister under the tutelage of Rev. George Adegboye and became the founding pastor of Rhema Chapel, Ibadan in September 1990 at the age of 21. He pastored the church for 5 years, planting two others in the City before resigning to establish Global Harvest Church at 26.
The church began at the Banquet Hall of Premier Hotel, soon the 500-Seater Hall was fully packed in 6 months and then the 1000-Seater Wallan Hall of D’Rovans Hotel, from where it moved in February 1998 to its permanent site in Ibadan.
Global Harvest Church still has her headquarters in the city of Ibadan. On the 28th of September 2018, The Grace Cathedral, a 3000 sitting capacity auditorium was dedicated by Rev. George Adegboye to serve as Headquarter Church facility of Global Harvest Church.
Global Harvest Church runs with a mission clearly defined in her mission statement that says “helping individuals to discover and accomplish their God-given purpose through life-transforming experiences with Christ” and that in a nutshell is the story of Global Harvest Church. Their core values are Faith, Accountability, Compassion and Excellence (FACE).
The vision of Global Harvest Church is to become a multi-channel mega church of inter-connected branches reaching into all continents and shaping the culture of nations and generations.
The vision has spread from Ibadan, where it kicked off to the several nations of the world. Global Harvest Church currently has branches in Abeokuta, Abuja, Ado Ekiti, Benin City, Lagos Island, Magboro Lagos, Maryland Lagos, Ogbomoso, Ondo City, Ibadan (Agodi GRA, Akobo, Eleyele, Liberty Road, Odo-ona Elewe, Outer Ring Road, Ibadan). Other branches outside Nigeria are Nairobi, Kenya; London; Edmonton, Canada; Maryland USA; Halifax, Canada; Vancouver, Canada and many more which are in view.
Pastor Victor and Jumoke Adeyemi currently run the Victor Adeyemi Ministries (VAM), which is the outreach arm of Pastors Victor and Jumoke Adeyemi and consequently, Global Harvest Churches involved with organizing conferences, crusades, community services and charity initiatives globally.
Some annual Conferences held by Global Harvest Church and Victor Adeyemi Ministries include: Holy Ghost Meetings which holds in May and Harvest Fire Conference (Convention) which holds in September every year, Celebrate Jesus Crusades.
Also major in Victor Adeyemi ministry’s mandate is the publishing and printing of Christian books and inspirational literature and also the provision of quality Christian media programs and broadcasting of the same throughout the world. Pastor Victor Adeyemi has authored 8 books in print and one co-authored with his wife.
The vision to win souls, raise ministry gifts, minister healing to the sick and lead the body of Christ into revival experiences is still in full force till date.
