GOD WILL DO A NEW THING IN NIGERIA. WE CAN’T DEPEND ON THOSE WE KNOW FOR NIGERIA TO CHANGE. IT IS UP TO GOD.

MANY MEN OF GOD MAKE THE MOST FAITHLESS STATEMENTS IN HISTORY AND TODAY SOME MEN OF GOD ARE DOING THE SAME IN NIGERIA.

GOD HAS SAID HE WILL DO A NEW THING IN NIGERIA AND I AM CONFIDENT.

NEW BEGINNING

Judges 6:16
And God told Gideon; Surely I will be with you and you shall defeat the Midianites. While Gideon kept thinking about the battle and thinking that the battle will depend on his personal strength or his family influence or the power of his tribe. God kept saying No, it’s not all about you, it’s about Me. In verse 16, God is saying, surely I will be with you and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.

To demonstrate to Gideon that his Victory will not depend on himself.

In this new beginning that God is giving him, in this new beginning, God asked him to reduce the size of his army, just to prove a point to him. He asked him to reduce the size of his army that he was even going to take to the battle to a ridiculously low number.

Reduce your men from 3,000 to 300. Reduce your contacts, reduce all of these people who are around you and all the people who you think are going to exercise some influence around you. And God told him Judges 7: 2, and the Lord said to Gideon, the people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for himself against Me, saying my own hands saved me.

God told him the reason why you cannot depend on your own strength, you cannot depend on what you have, or what you know or the contacts you have.

God told him, take your hope away from what you have, or who you have, all this contacts. And I think God is also saying the same thing to us, that we cannot depend on those we know and all of our flesh and our power. It’s up to Him, it’s about God. In the new beginning that God gives us, it’s about God and we have to depend on Him.

The second point I will like us to note, is that the God of new beginnings does not expect you to even change physically or materially before your Victory comes.

He said in Judges verse 14 to Gideon, go in this might of yours and you shall save Israel from the hands of the Midianites. In this same small might of yours, in this little faith of yours.

Go ahead and you will win because I am the Creator of all things, the all Powerful will give you the victory. Your own strength is irrelevant.

The third point to note is that the man who will have this new glorious beginnings and who would enjoy this new glorious beginnings should not expect of course that he will not have troubles or problems.

As mentioned in verse 13 of Judges 6, Gideon said o my Lord, if the Lord said He is with us why then are all this happening to us. Where are all these miracles which our fathers told us about saying, did not the Lord bring us out of Egypt?

There are those who will ask, why am I sick after all my prayers and fasting? Why am I sick?

Why did my wife died?
Why did my brother died?
Who do I not have a good job?
Why did my business failed?
Why are my going through all these problems?

Despite everything that I have done, to paying my tithes, giving generous offerings, doing everything, praying, fasting.

In the midst of your current travails, the God of new beginnings is about to change your story, He is about to do something new. Scriptures says that weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.

This is a new beginning. After the sorrow, God begins again with joy. Of course Isaiah 43:19, there God said, behold I will do a new thing and it shall spring forth, shall ye not know it?

I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

So often, and you know it’s so incredible to know what God can do and how He can so assure us. There is nothing that He cannot do. It’s all about Him. Who else can make rivers in the desert?

Sometimes often, we so called men of God , Pastors, Ministers are the ones who like Nathaniel makes some of history’s most faithless statements. I am saying, sometimes, we Pastors, Ministers, Men of God are the ones who sometimes make some of history’s most faithless, lack of faith statements like Nathaniel.
Nathaniel said, can anything good come out of Nazareth? Nazareth was southwest of the sea of Galilee, a very small community.

We were told, it’s probably less about 500 people, especially during the lifetime of Jesus. It was well beyond Samaria, far away from Jerusalem in many ways. Not near any major cities. It was the last place that one would expect anything significant to happen. So, Nathaniel asked, can anything good come out of Nazareth?

Today, many men are saying the same thing about our nation Nigeria. Even some men of God. But this is a test good case of how God works. I am saying to you, especially the Nigerians who are listening, He is said to give Nigeria a new beginning. I shared at an event last Saturday, what God is showing us, what God will do, and we are confident that God will do so.

Genesis 1:1-2
Even at the beginning, there was commotion, catastrophe, disaster but a new beginning was still possible and in Genesis 1:6, God will make it happen. God will give us a new beginning in Nigeria in Jesus Name. God will do a new thing in Nigeria.

2 Corinthians 7:7-12.
Paul was saying despite our challenges, despite the problems but Paul was saying, relying on the grace of God is escape route to weakness. Phillipians 4:13.

Looking up to Jesus and not on our talents or certificates. Looking up to Jesus will give us a new beginning. Looking up to Jesus will definitely give us meaning in life.
