TOPIC: FULFILLING THE PURPOSE OF GIVING GOD PLEASURE
Scripture : Revelation 4: 11. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Beloved, I welcome you today to another Moment of Daily Encounter with the word. Previously, we established that our lives was design to give God pleasure! Today, we shall consider how to fulfill our lives purpose giving God pleasure
How to fulfill our purpose of giving God pleasure?
1. Accepting the fact that every details of our lives on earth is meant to give God pleasure!
Our height, our size, the colour of our skin, the shape of our mouth, the enormous strength we possessed etc were part of God’s design to give Him pleasure! The job/business we do were supposed to be given God pleasure!
The first thing you must do to give God pleasure is to accept your kind of person. Accept the way God design you. Appreciate for shaping you the way you are!
Don’t hate yourself! Don’t bother about your colour, height or size! Rather thank God for all that you are! Don’t wish to be some one else! God take pleasure in our uniqueness:
Psalm 139: 14. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
Are you gifted or talented in any thing use it for God. God gave you those beautiful talent to give Him pleasure. Are you good in talking, don’t hate your self give God praise for your design, whatever you are wire with is meant to give God pleasure!
2.By living a life of impact; a life of impact is a life that brings glory to God.
Matthew 5: 16. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Men should be able to get impacted by your life such that they are saying thank God for your life. Men should give praise and thanks to God Almighty for the impact your life is making, then you are giving God pleasure with your life.
3. By shunning crookedness and embrace uprightness(1Chro.29:17;PS.5:4)! God takes pleasure when you live a straight forward life.
4. By living in the fear of God!
Psalm 147: 11. The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
To fear God is to depart from evil.(Prov.8:13)! You can’t say you fear God and you are living in sin. God receive pleasure when you fear Him.
5. Do every thing you do on earth with the consciousness God is standing behind you watching over your activities.
_Colossians 3: 17. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him._
6. Do your task/your job as if God is your employer:
_Colossians 3: 23. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;_
Assignment: check your life, is it really giving God pleasure by the kind of job/bussiness you do daily? Are men thanking God for your life?
Remember this : Heaven is real and hell is real! Eternity is a step away from the earth. How prepared are you for it?
Prayer points :
– Father thank you for your word to me today,
– Father, I receive grace to give God pleasure all the days of my life in Jesus name
Prophetic Declaration :
– I prophesy the mandate to give God pleasure let it occupy your mind every day of your life
– You will never be put to shame! I speak favour upon your life abundantly in Jesus name.
