DOING IT AGAIN AND AGAIN (Acts 2:42)

TOPIC: DOING IT AGAIN AND AGAIN

SCRIPTURE: And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. Acts 2:42.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Continuity is the way to explosivity or explosiveness.
If anything must explode, someone must be persistent.

From our previous studies, we have been exploring how to make the most of a new season. We saw that to make the most of new season, you must identify what to thank God for, identify what to put behind you, and also identify what to put before you.

In our study today, we shall look at another important key to making the most of a new season, and that is,
Identifying what worked before that needs to work again.

There are things that succeeded or worked last year. There are things that you did well last year. Do them again this year.
1 Corinthian 15:58 says,
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast…
To be steadfast means to be consistent in action. It means to keep at it.

Sometime ago, I read that nothing succeeds like excess. There is a connection between success and excess. In this context, we are referring to excess of the right thing, that is, excess of prayer, worship, etc.
Don’t do things that worked just once. Do them again and again and again.

In Act 2:42, the apostles continued daily, and in verse 47 of the same Scripture, they saw the explosion of multitudes.

Beloved, it is important to note that continuity is the way to explosivity or explosiveness. If anything must explode, someone must be persistent.

Never get prematurely satisfied with any level of result or success. Refuse to agree that you have succeeded. Never give in to complacency. Just keep at it. Don’t let people celebrate you into obscurity and irrelevance.

Remember this: Continuity is the way to explosivity or explosiveness. If anything must explode, someone must be persistent.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Refuse for anyone to clap you into irrelevance or obscurity.

2. Do it again and again and again. And when you have done it again, do it again.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to persist with You in doing the right thing. I reject every form of complacency or premature contentment, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

AMAZING FACT: A pilot must have 20/20 vision, with or without corrective lenses, to become a civilian airline pilot.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: The grace and discipline to be consistent be released for you in Jesus Name. And in your consistency, may your results be seen in Jesus Name.
