Topic: Destined to rule
Text: (Genesis 1:26)

As children of God, we must know that we’re not just any ordinary or common individual but instead, we’re destined to rule. God’s purpose for us from the beginning of creation was to make us rule the world, we can see that in our text for today (Gen 1:26) which says: And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping things that creeps upon the earth. Which means the power to rule has been given to us.

There’s a particular factor that can hinder us as children of God to be able to rule and that is Laziness. The book of proverbs disclosed a lot about the word ‘Laziness’ and so when we’re lazy, we loose the power to rule, and so therefore in anything we’re doing, we should try as much as possible to do away with Laziness because it leads to poverty (Proverbs 10:4) (Proverbs 24:33)

The factor that can make us destined to rule is Diligence: diligence is a very cogent and important factor we must try to possess so we can be able to rule. The book of proverbs also disclosed many things about the act of being diligent. Diligence is a very good antidote for laziness, if you’re diligent, laziness can’t come into your life and then you’ll be able to rule and reign. (Proverbs 23:29) says: see you a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before obscure men.

God has given us the authority to be in charge and to rule our world, all we have to do is to ask for the grace to be diligent so we can achieve good success and so we’ll be able to rule our world.
