He personally bore our sins in His own body on the tree as on an altar and offered Himself on it, that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.
1 peter 2:24.
Sin is wickedness then why do wickedness, the bible says and you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free, when you know the truth and you do it, you are pleasing the Lord but when you know the Truth and you are not doing it that is wickedness on God’s side and you will be punished for it.
The sins of this world cost God his Son because He is merciful and now that you knowing what to do, you should not go back to what you are not suppose to do because you will be on your own until you return to Him.
To be dead to sin is to not sin anymore even if it will cost you your life; if you prepare the best of all the food on earth, with the best aroma and put it close to a dead man, he will not move an inch no matter how sweet it is. Sin is pleasurable but when you are dead to sin, you won’t be moved and when you are dead to sin, you then live to righteousness, living right becomes what you find doing joyfully.
By His wounds you have been healed, that is a benefit of living right and that is a life insurance for every believer. It takes health to be prosperous and that is what God wants for us.
