TEACHING SERIES: COVENANT OF SUCCESS
INTRODUCTION:
– Success is the heritage of every child of God. Deut. 28:13
– Failure has no place among kingdom entities. 1sa. 60:22, 61:4
– Every child of God is ordained to be a wonder to their world. 1 Pet. 2:9
– The End time churches. 87:5-7
– But success is not accidental, no one succeeds by accident.
– Everyone enjoying success is complying with certain kingdom demands.
WHAT ARE THE DEMANDS OF THE COVENANT OF SUCCESS?
Eccl. 10:5-10, 10:15-18
1. Direction – Success commences from the foundation of direction. Isa. 48:17-21, Prov. 3:5-6
– Direction is our pathway in redemption. Rom. 8:17-19
– Until we are led by the spirit, we cannot be directed. 1 Cor. 2:9-10, john 16:13
– It is the direction of God that provokes the elevation of man.
2. The know-how. Eccl. 16:15
Biblical Examples
– The example of Jesus. Luke 2:40
– David – Psa. 78:70-72, 2 Cor. 13:5
– The better tomorrow we seek is dependent on the preparation of today.
3. Discipline. Exe. 10:15-16
– Discipline is able to distinguish between lawful and expedient. 1 Cor. 10:23
– Discipline is the capacity to restrain desires and delay gratification.
– Discipline is the control valve
WHAT MUST WE DISCIPLINE?
• We must learn to discipline our time.
• We must learn to discipline taste. Prov. 23:2
• We must learn to discipline our thoughts. Phil. 4:8, 2 Cor. 10:5,
• We must learn to discipline talk. 1 Pet. 3:10
•We must learn to discipline our treasure. Prov. 10:4
• We must discipline our association. Prov. 13:20
