MESSAGE TOPIC: EVIDENCE (PROOFS) OF LOVE FOR GOD

SERVICE OBJECTIVE(S): Understanding what love for God is all about
Many do not understand what dedication to God is all about
Love is an emotion that has both motion and action; love is not just what you feel, it is what you will and what you do
WHAT IS THE EVIDENCE OF A PERSON’S LOVE FOR GOD?
1. Love for His Presence (Ps. 42:1-2. 63:1-2)
When you love a person, you love their presence, you love their company
One thing about lovers is that they want to hang around each other’s presence
2. Love for His Voice (Word) (Songs 2:8; Ex. 20:6; Job 23:12)
It is not possible for you to love God and not love His Voice
Every distance from the Word of God, shows a bankruptcy of love for God.
3. Love for His House (Ps. 122:1; 27:4; 84:7,10; 133:1; Heb. 12:22-24; 10:25)
The house of your lover is never too distant or too dirty for you
4. Love for Souls (2 Pet. 3:9; John 21:15-17; Matt. 9:36-38; 1 Cor. 9:16)
Our love for God will culminate in love for the souls of men
If you love God, you will do something about soul-winning – preach directly to them, invite them to church, pray for them, or give towards the soul-winning assignment
There is no genuine lover of God who is not interested in the salvation of souls
5. Love for God’s children (1 John 3:14-17; John 13:34-35; Rom. 12:10; Isa. 58:6)
If you genuinely love God, you will be a lovely, lovable and loving person
You cannot walk with love and not catch love (1 John 4:8)
Your dedication to God should translate into practical love for the brethren
If you want to look for God’s trouble, just touch His children.
6. Love for people (Mark 12:29-31; 1 John 4:20-21)
God loves people so much that He made man in His Image (Gen. 1:26-28); He loves God so much that He sent His Son to die for man (John 3:16)
7. Love for Giving to Him and His Cause (John 3:16; 1 Cor. 13:4; 1 Kings 3:3-4)
Lovers are givers; it is possible to give without loving but it is not possible to love without giving
8. Love for praise and worship (1 Sam. 13:14; Acts 13:22; Ps. 63:8)
We express value and give appreciation to people we love through praise
9. Love for Service (Deut. 10:12; 11:13)
Service is one of the love languages
Service is a demonstration of love; when you love someone you want to run errands for them
10. Love to please Him (John 14:15; Rev. 4:11)
When you love God you will love to obey Him and keep His commandments
PRAYERS
Father, saturate my heart today with a fresh dimension of Your love like never before; help me to love You like never before; fill my heart with Your Love Oh Lord, in Jesus’ Name. (Rom. 5:4-5)
Father, we ask that You dismantle every plague of confusion, anarchy and disorder that is being plotted by agents of evil and wickedness in our political system. We ask that their agenda be totally frustrated, Lord in Jesus Name – Job 5:12; 2 Thess. 3:16.
Father, we ask that You scatter every gathering of wicked politicians against the destiny of our
Nation, Nigeria. O’ Lord, arise and let the enemies of Nigeria be scattered, Lord in Jesus Name – Psalm 68:1.
Father, we ask that every attempted bloodshed in the process of this forthcoming election be frustrated, Lord in the Name of Jesus Christ – Isa. 60:18
In the Name of Jesus, we reject injustice and unfairness in Nigeria; the right thing shall be done; the will of God in Nigeria shall be done, in Jesus’ Name.
Father, do something in our nation, show us favour; give us a reign of favour, fire and judgment in Nigeria, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
– Everything that came here with you today that is not planted by god is going out now
– In this service today, the word of God shall be confirmed true in your life
– That begging plate the devil placed in your hand is set on fire! That garment of begging and borrowing is set on fire!
– Every death looking for you is arrested back to hell! You will not die like your father or brother died!
– Every stranger around my life, following my life and monitoring your destiny, today is your end!
– The spell of losses is arrested!
– I announce today, everything the devil has taken from you, is restored!
