– Bishop David Abioye on EVERYONE IS ABSOLUTELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OUTCOME OF HIS LIFE.”

Welcome everyone to this Covenant hour of prayer, the first this week on the behalf of God’s servant, welcome everyone and as I have the privilege to bring this exhortation to us this morning.

I see someone here blessed, blessed beyond measure.

Let’s begin this morning by understanding that God has no favourite in this Kingdom. He appears to us as we present ourselves to Him. We all have equal opportunities and platform.

For instance, there is no different way for salvation, it’s just one “believe on the LORD Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.” Whether male, female, the same process, the same outcome, young or old, God does not change His process and so we cannot have a different product.

We all have equal opportunities, there is no preferential treatment from God to any believer. So also is the revelation of His Word, the revelation of God’s Word is opportunity or can be likened to opportunity knocking on our doors time and again but the choice is ours to embrace or to ignore.

Revelation 3:20, the same word for everyone. All of us have equal opportunity, God is knocking. Isaiah 55:6.

So, no one can find God except following that process: seek the LORD, seek the LORD. Only seekers will end as finders. Why have you not found Him? Simple, because you have not sought Him. James 4:8.

Why is God not near to me as He is to others? The answer is simple, I have not drawn near to Him.

Two sisters hosted Jesus, Mary and Martha [Luke 10:38-42], one was busy running helter-skelter, the other one sat at the feet of the Master to receive the Word and Jesus said “hey, don’t think by running, I will attend to you, sit down here.” He said “for your sister is wiser than you, she has chosen the word of Life which no man shall take away from her.” You do the initiation and God will do the approach, He will do the attendance that you require.

Most of us miss out of the opportunities that revelation offers without knowing. God relates with us as individuals in the Kingdom, He speaks to us collectively but He relates with us as individuals. He makes open call to all but He pays personal attention to those who responds to the call.

Open call, personal attention, depending on the response of those who are called, that’s why we have to make a choice.

Abraham was called alone even though from the study of the Word in Genesis, we realised that there are others that God had beckoned to, who did not respond as much as Abraham responded, Isaiah 51:1-3 unveils to us that God called him, he responded alone and God distinguished him alone.

There is someone here this morning, God will distinguish you! We all have equal line to start the race; on your mark, we are all told, get set but nobody can go for you. When you hear the sound go, there is differential movements, people begin to change their position on the go, the choice is yours, the choice is mine. Deuteronomy 30:19. This week someone shall be distinguished!

On this note, our exhortation line for this week is captioned “EVERYONE IS ABSOLUTELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OUTCOME OF HIS LIFE.” Will you please say with me, “I am absolutely responsible for the outcome of my life.” That is to say, stop looking for who to blame, you will end as lame for as long as you are looking for who to blame. Luke 19:17-19. You will remain lame for as long as you are looking for who to blame.

Furthermore, we access revelation as individuals, no one can listen for you, no one can read for you, no one can meditate on your behalf. 1 Timothy 4:13.

Humorously, I have talked to some young people who are in school, I asked them if you have five books to read, transfer three to me, I will read on your behalf and when I finish reading, you will come and touch my head and put it on your head so it can be transferred to you and we all laughed because it’s not possible, no!

You have to sit down by yourself to read. When you hear someone bringing forth revelation, you need to find out how well he sat down to access the revelation. 1 Timothy 4:13/15. No one can listen, no one can read, no one can meditate on the behalf of another, even Jesus could not be helped in this line. Luke 4:16. He was an accustomed reader, Jesus was a reader! Jesus was a book man, he was a book man.

Even Jesus wasn’t exempted from the process, He was listening, He was hearing, He was reading. Luke 2:46-49.

They found Him seated, He sat to study. He sat well so He rose high! He read well, so He found what was written. You must be a sitter, you must be a reader, you must be a meditator! What am I saying? Even Jesus was not exempted from the process. 2 Timothy 2:15.

The same process, the same outcome. So, revelation doesn’t jump on people, each person has to be in search of revelation. Paul was a book man – 2 Timothy 4:13, revelation didn’t jump on Paul. What more? Everybody must sit down to read, to study, to meditate. Access to revelation will usually result in supernatural breakthrough, that is to say the more revelation we access, the more breakthrough we enjoy.

Isaiah 60:1-22. Take note of all of the verses in that chapter, you will see the effect of light and finally we can only access all of our inheritance in Christ by revelation.
If you are lazy in studying, you will be denied access to your inheritance because you can’t find what is written without searching for it. John 5:39. Scriptures are to be searched, books are to be read, volumes are to be studied and that determines the measure of the inheritance you access. Acts 20:32.

Without sitting down, there cannot be a rising of destiny. If you fail, query your sitting.

You know in the school system, when a student fails they advice him to come and do resit, it is a simple way, it is a polite way of telling him “you failed at the first sitting- you didn’t sit well, go and resit, your sitting wasn’t appropriate so go and resit. If nothing is working for you, go and resit, if you are having issues in your spiritual life, go and resit, don’t blame anyone for it. If you have not accessed your inheritance as much as you should, go and sit down.

God’s servant said he has been teaching on prosperity and suddenly he discovered that this thing is not flowing the way it should flow, so he sat down and studied the scriptures, studied the books of those who are getting it right and suddenly he too accessed the light. Somebody is here this morning, you will soon access the light. More than ever before, you will soon access the light in the name of Jesus.

Will you say with me again, “I AM ABSOLUTELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OUTCOME OF MY LIFE.” Say also, “I will sit down, listen to the Word, read the Word, meditate on the Word and apply the Word.” Rise to your feet with me, it’s a blessed day, it’s a blessed week for you, make a fresh commitment to sit down, to study the Word.
